The Places & Spaces of Gen Blue 2023

The 2023 Gen Blue Experience® will take place Oct. 16 – 19 in Atlanta and will call some of Atlanta’s top destinations home throughout the course of the event. Filled with history, fish and fun, these locations are sure to take your breath away with their grandeur and longstanding impact on Atlanta’s community.

The historic Fox Theatre opened in 1928 as a “movie palace” to meet the demand that was sweeping the nation of watching moving pictures. On opening day, the Fox Theatre sold out the showing of “Steamboat Willie”, Disney’s first cartoon starring Mickey Mouse. During Gen Blue®, the Fox Theatre will host our Leadership Summit on Oct. 16 and General Session on Oct. 17. This venue will be the perfect stage to share our story and build excitement and momentum for the rest of the event.

Dance the night away with more than 500 species of fish at the Georgia Aquarium for the Closing Night Party on Oct. 18. The Closing Night Party will be a private event specifically for Coldwell Banker® network members. Attendees can enjoy the sea life exhibits, an open bar, and food stations representing the best of southern cuisine, all while a DJ spins some of their favorite tunes. With more than 11 million gallons of water, the Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the United States and is home to its famous Whale Shark, the largest fish in the world.

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta, where the Learning Breakout Sessions, Gen Blue Marketplace, and Global Luxury Summit will take place, also has a storied past. In fact Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was the hotel’s second customer. The Hyatt Regency Atlanta welcomed Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement when other local hotels were turning them away. He called the Hyatt Regency his “Hotel of Hope” and hosted his last Civil Rights Conference in August 1967.

On a different note, and in more recent years, renowned chef Thomas McKeown, Chef of the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, partners with 70 local farms, dairies, and independent purveyors to plate the freshest quality ingredients for guests. Chef Thomas and his team raise more than 1 million bees in the hotel’s sustainable rooftop garden. The Hyatt Regency bees produce some 750 lbs. of honey each year, which is served in the hotel’s cocktails and entrees, as well as sold in take home jars in the Lobby Market.

Don’t miss out on all the awesomeness that the 2023 Gen Blue Experience® is promised to provide!
