Crooked Lake is well known to locals for its sandbar.
If you visit Crooked Lake you could find yourself in Alanson, Ponshewaing, Oden, Conway or Petoskey.
There are 3 boat launches. 1. US-31 in Conway (Little Traverse Twp. Launch). 2. Near the Crooked River Locks 3. Channel Road
Part of the historic Inland Water Route, you could put your boat in at Crooked Lake and boat to Lake Huron.
There are two marinas on the lake; Ryde Marine and Windjammer Marina.
