Any Coldwell Banker affiliated sales associate may take the course and become a Member with The Institute.

Production verification may be submitted after completion of the course to receive your designation. Taking the course and becoming a member of The Institute does not mean that you are a Luxury Property Specialist or a CLHMS. Threshold criteria must be met and approved to receive either the designation. The threshold criteria for each differ, in order to receive the Colwell Banker Global Luxury designation you must have closed three (3) property transactions within a 24-month period at or above the brand’s Luxury Threshold; and for the CLHMS, you have closed three (3) properties, based on the top ten percent of sales within a county.

For team members, members of a team can use the same property as long as they send us a Commission Disbursement Agreement as proof that they both received a commission for it.

Once you register for your luxury certification course, you will receive a link to submit your full application in your registration confirmation email, which comes from website@luxuryhomemarketing.com.

The Institute will review all applications and will respond to agents before their desired course. The application process will no longer affect your ability to register for a course. Your certification becomes active upon completion of the course and the verification of production.

FAQ

Who can take the Luxury Property Specialist Training?

Any Coldwell Banker sales associate may take the course and become a Member with The Institute. Taking the course and becoming a member of The Institute does not mean that you are a Luxury Property Specialist; threshold criteria must be met and approved to receive the designation.

How will I access the training?

You will need a computer and internet access to participate in the livestream training. Login instructions will be sent to you in the days preceding the event.

Will I be Global Luxury certified and a CLHMS designee after the training?

To earn the Luxury Property Specialist designation (and CLHMS™ designation), you must complete the course and submit an application with your proof of production.

You will receive a link to submit the application in your registration confirmation email

Applications must be submitted within 24 months of completing the course.

Due to differing sales performance requirements, not all registrants are eligible to earn both the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury certification and the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist™ designation. You will be notified by The Institute if your application satisfies the Luxury Property Specialist certification and/or CLHMS designation requirements.

How much does the livestream training cost?

The registration fee for the training is $575 USD. This fee includes the training, materials, and the first two years of Institute Membership.

What if I am a Coldwell Banker staff and would like to audit* the training?

Coldwell Banker staff, managers, and franchise sales may audit the training if they are not practicing agents. To sign up to audit, please fill out our Audit Registration Form.

What if I’ve already taken a course with The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing?

If you are a current member of The Institute, please login to your Membership Portal to avoid creating a duplicate account for yourself. The registration fee for current members is $575, which includes an additional two years of membership.

If your Institute Membership is inactive, please call 214-485-3000 to discuss the registration options that best suit you.

AUDIT FORM* / WAITLIST

(*Auditing opportunity is open only to non-agents, i.e. Managers, Current Luxury Property Specialists, CB Staff, Franchise Sales, and existing ILHM members who are CB Agents)

• Once your registration has been received, the luxury institute will send you a listing production form with instructions on how to complete to qualify for both the CLHMS and Coldwell Banker Global Luxury designation.

• All applications will be reviewed by ILHM within two weeks.

• Applications will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

• All applicants will be notified of their qualification status.

Led by respected instructors, including Luxury Property Specialists who will be sharing their strategies and proven luxury marketing methods, this course brings the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury program to life through a special partnership with the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing(ILHM). Associates who take the course, as well as who were previously part of Coldwell Banker Previews International program and are now part of the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury program, also have the opportunity to earn The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing’s Certified Luxury Home Marketing SpecialistTM (CLHMS) designation and or GUILD designation –if they meet sales and education requirements.
